Sailing Around St. Martin
I’ve been thinking about doing a yacht trip in the Caribbean, and St. Martin keeps coming up. I’ve never chartered a yacht before, only stayed in hotels. Is it really worth it compared to land-based travel? How hard is it to plan routes, stops, and daily life on board?

Re: Sailing Around St. Martin
I was in the same situation last year and honestly had the same doubts. What helped me was checking real charter options and understanding how flexible it can be. With 12knots.com/en/yacht-charter/destinations/caribbean/st-martin/ you can see different yachts, routes, and trip styles, which made everything clearer. Life on board is simpler than it sounds: you wake up near a new beach, swim, sail a bit, and explore. It felt more relaxed than hotels and much more personal.

Navigating the shallow waters requires a specific type of boat, and finding one for a Yacht charter in the Bahamas was effortless here. The platform lets you filter by draft depth, which was a lifesaver for us. We ended up with a perfect catamaran that could get us into those hidden pink sand coves. The customer support was incredibly helpful throughout.
